About Us:

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Team Leader. While qualifications and experience are preferred, they’re not essential—we value the right attitude and a passion for supporting others. The ideal candidate will be focused, organised, and a great team player, ready to lead and inspire our support workers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and work alongside a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support for our participants.
2. Ensure staff are motivated, adhere to best practices and protocols, assign tasks, and monitor performance. Develop and oversee personalised care plans for each service user.
3. Maintain a safe, clean environment conducive to the well-being of service users.
4. Handle incidents or emergencies effectively, ensuring quick and appropriate action.
5. Maintain accurate records of service users' progress, incidents, and care needs.
6. Report concerns to senior management and contribute to audits or evaluations.
7. Build positive relationships with families and guardians, providing updates and listening to concerns.
8. Act as the main contact for families and external stakeholders regarding services.
9. Organise and lead recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities to enhance social interaction and development.
10. Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and dignity.
11. Manage purchasing of materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
12. Address conflicts among staff, service users, or families.
13. Use strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve challenges promptly.
14. Promote positive relationships and a supportive atmosphere.
15. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety protocols.
16. Oversee medication administration, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in disability support or related fields.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Administer medications certificate (can be obtained).
• First Aid and CPR certificates.
