The Medical Education Unit at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Medical Administrative Clinician to join their team, either onsite or via telecommuting, on a Temporary Part-Time basis.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service comprises six hospitals, two multi-purpose health services, and four community health centres, employing over 3,300 staff. The district spans approximately 90,000 km2 and provides services to communities including Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
Salary Benefits
Remuneration package up to $65,993 per annum, including a salary range of $65.35 to $71.98 per hour (L4-L9), employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), a professional development allowance, and 1.6 weeks of professional development leave annually. About The Position
The Medical Administrative Clinician (MAC) will support clinicians across the Mackay Hospital and Health Service to improve the quality, completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of clinical documentation, thereby enhancing patient safety and care quality. The MAC will also provide accurate reporting of patient complexity and acuity for Activity Based Funding (ABF).
This position reports to the Director of Clinical Training, Medical Education Unit (MEU), and is based in the Medical Education Unit. The role also involves providing services to Health Information Services (HIS).
Remote Work
While the main office for the MEU is located at Mackay Base Hospital, the MAC can perform this role from anywhere in Queensland, provided they have suitable computer access and an appropriate office setup.
