As our Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for new business development across several sectors including financial services, telco & utility & our corporate segment. This will suit an experienced sales professional, a hunter not a farmer. You will identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions from our suite of decisioning, fraud and ID, credit, digital, and data offerings.

  • Refined internal and external relationship skills
  • Proven capability in driving outcomes in a demanding sales role
  • Track record in delivering successful sales and partnerships
  • Strong, demonstrated performance in a range of business development activities
  • Demonstrable experience in building a new portfolio of clients from whitespace

What you'll be doing - Reporting to the Head of Sales

  • Prospect intelligently for new potential clients considering core Experian value propositions
  • Convey information and ideas clearly and succinctly to individuals and groups
  • Build a territory plan including Experian's integrated solutions with long-term value for clients
  • Achieve and exceed all revenue and performance targets for 'net new' business, demonstrating refined selling skills
  • Develop industry-specific value propositions
  • Champion the Net Promoter Score (NPS) process both to clients and internally to the Account Team
  • Advocate for best practices, new ideas, and uphold Experian values
  • Provide expertise to clients through White Papers/Insight reports and industry feedback

More about you

  • 5+ years' sales experience with at least 3 years in a pure BDM role
  • Ability to research and understand client/industry organizations
  • Understand competitors' positioning, activities, strategies, and differentiators; apply proven methods for promoting products or services; understand regulatory requirements and market drivers
  • Effectively assess client needs to recommend high-value Experian solutions aligned with their goals, ideally with experience selling cloud-based platforms
  • Proven skills in negotiating major deals and closing sales
