Job summary

RSGx is recruiting E&I Technicians for the Perdaman project in Australia. The roles are permanent, with FIFO from any major city, 10-hour days on a 20:8 rotation.

You will carry out electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning support, following drawings and work packs. Applicants must hold a WA Electrical license, maintain safety certifications (White Card, First Aid), and have latest CPY/LVP within 12 months.

Qualifications

  • WA Electrical license is required.
  • LVP/CPY within 12 months.
  • Provide First aid.
  • Working at heights.
  • HRWL – EWP.
  • White card is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical and instrumentation installation activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and work packs.
  • Install, terminate and test electrical cables, control cables and instrumentation cabling.
  • Perform cable pulling, dressing, glanding, termination and identification; install instrumentation equipment and field devices.
  • Install conduit, cable tray, ladder and supports.
  • Install electrical equipment including lighting, power outlets, isolators and switches.
  • Perform instrument tubing and small-bore installation; connect field instruments and transmitters.
  • Assist with loop checking, continuity testing and insulation resistance testing.
  • Read and interpret schematics and diagrams; complete ITRs and QA documentation.
  • Identify installation defects and assist with punch-list closeout.
  • Fault-find electrical and instrumentation systems and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate daily activities with supervisors and other trades.
  • Verify installations meet project specs and Australian Standards.
  • Participate in daily pre-starts and JHA/SWMS reviews.
  • Maintain Permit to Work and site safety practices.
