Job summary

Tronox Limited in NSW is seeking Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to join our maintenance team at Atlas Mine near Balranald, NSW, about 1.5 hours east of Mildura, on a permanent full-time basis with a 7/7 roster.

The E&I Technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor and are responsible for safely and effectively completing preventative and breakdown electrical/instrumentation maintenance across all areas of the site.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate is essential.
• High risk licence including forklift, working at heights, confined space.
• Fixed Plant experience and exposure to LV, HV and Process Control installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown electrical/instrument maintenance across site.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and fault-find electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Install and commission modifications to control, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Utilise SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports.
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.
• Contribute to safety, process improvements and cost reduction.

About the Role

Tronox is seeking Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technicianto join our maintenance team at ourAtlasMinenear Balranald, NSW, about1.5hours east of Mildura on a permanentfull-time basisand 7/7 Roster.

The E&I Techniciansreport to the Maintenance Supervisor andareresponsible forsafely and effectively completing preventative and breakdown electrical/instrument maintenanceacross all areas of the site.

Responsibilities

Conducting maintenance activities, inspection testing and calibrationoffixed plantelectricalequipment and instrumentationin accordance withCompany procedures and operating instructions.

The minimisation of downtime throughaccuratefault finding,and repairs.

Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control,instrument,and electrical equipmentin accordance withstandards.

Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports asrequired.

The isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance purposes.

Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety,process,and cost reduction.

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.

About You

To be successful in your application you will ideally need topossess:

Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)

HV switching certification (desirable)

High risklicence; forklift, working at heights, confined space

Fixed Plant experience andexposureworking onLV, HV and Process Control installations.

Someone who enjoys working in a team-based environment, with a desire to develop their and other teams’ skills.
