  • Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, calibrating, repair, and service of fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets.
  • Identify risks and maintain awareness amongst employees and process conditions.

Job description

UGL has a current vacancy for a highly skilled and safety focused Esso Qualified E&I Technician to join us on one of our major O&G contracts offshore at Bass Strait, VIC. In this role, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing end to end maintenance and service of the offshore platform

About the Role:

You will bring previous experience from an Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or continuous processing plant. Exposure to working in tanks, confined spaces and piping will be highly regarded:

  • Delivery of E&I scope under the contract

  • Execution of planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance

  • Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment

  • Provide technical advice and support on electrical & instrument to the field project and maintenance teams

  • Troubleshooting, calibrating, repair and service of fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets

  • Identify risks and maintain awareness amongst employees and process conditions in a Major Hazardous Facility

  • Develop and drive continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions

  • Working at heights activities

  • Being flexible and adaptable to changing business needs

  • Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which may involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation

About you

  • Electrical License (VIC)

  • Cert III in Instrumentation

  • Current CPR / LVR

  • EEHA Certification

  • HV Switching Certification

  • Swagelok Certification

  • Work at Heights Certification

  • Drivers Licence
