Qualifications

• Engaging and motivating teacher with a strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy in Physical Education.
• Highly organised, able to manage and administer a comprehensive school sports program.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and the values of St Brendan's.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Holds a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Physical Education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an engaging and innovative Physical Education curriculum for students from Foundation to Year 6.
• Coordinate all sporting activities and events, including inter-school competitions, sports carnivals (athletics, cross-country, swimming), and recreational programs.
• Oversee the maintenance and inventory of all sports equipment and facilities.
• Promote student well-being, teamwork, and sportsmanship through participation in physical activity.
• Liaise effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding the sports program.
• Provide support and supervision for staff and students involved in extra-curricular sporting activities.
