Job summary

You will drive Geography curriculum development, model best practice, mentor beginning teachers, and lead assessment design while collaborating within a well-resourced Social Science department.

Qualifications

• Formal teaching qualifications and current NESA registration.
• Proven track record of strong academic results and innovative pedagogy in Geography.
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills for an inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development: Creating and refining Geography programs aligned with NESA syllabuses.
• Modelling best practice: Demonstrating lessons to staff and students.
• Teacher mentoring: In-class support for beginning teachers.
• Assessment: Lead assessment design and moderation for whole-year cohorts.
• Professional networking: Liaise with Geography Teacher Association networks and events.
• Fieldwork management: Organise geography fieldwork logistics.
• Collaboration: Work with a supportive Social Science team.
