Job summary

The Star Brisbane is seeking an Events Logistics Attendant to support seamless event delivery at our premier venues. You will assist with setups, bump-ins and transports while upholding our high presentation standards.

Reporting to the Events Logistics Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and exceptional guest service across the property. RSA certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality, logistics or similar operational environment.
• Forklift license or material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Physically capable of manual handling and event setup duties.
• Current RSA certification or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to safety and delivering exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Set up, reset and pack down event spaces to meet operational and guest requirements.
• Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and other logistics tools.
• Assist with the transportation of equipment, furniture and event materials throughout the property.
• Support event bump-ins and bump-outs, including traffic management and coordination activities.
• Ensure event spaces, storage areas and work zones are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by responding professionally to requests and enquiries.
• Participate in pre and post shift briefings to support smooth event operations.
• Work collaboratively with events, food and beverage and hotel teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety, RSA and company compliance requirements at all times.
