Job summary

The Star Brisbane is seeking an Events Logistics Attendant to join our team and play a hands-on role in delivering seamless events at The Star Brisbane. You will set up spaces, move equipment and support bump-ins/outs to ensure every area meets the highest standards.

Reporting to the Events Logistics Manager, you will work across venues with F&B and hotel teams, maintaining safety and guest service excellence on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality, logistics, warehousing or similar operational role.
• Forklift license or other material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physically capable of manual handling and event setup duties.
• Current RSA certification or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to safety and delivering exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Set up, reset and pack down event spaces to meet operational and guest requirements.
• Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and other logistics tools.
• Assist with transportation of equipment, furniture and event materials around the property.
• Support event bump-ins and bump-outs, including traffic management and coordination activities.
• Ensure event spaces and storage areas are kept clean and well presented.
• Deliver excellent guest service by responding professionally to requests.
• Participate in pre- and post-shift briefings to support smooth operations.
• Collaborate with events, F&B and hotel teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Adhere to WHS, RSA and company compliance at all times.

Reporting to the Events Logistics Manager, you'll play a key role behind the scenes in delivering seamless events across our world‑class venues. From coordinating event setups and transporting equipment to supporting bump‑ins and bump‑outs, you'll help bring extraordinary events to life while ensuring every space is prepared to the highest standard. A few of your responsibilities

• Set up, reset and pack down event spaces to meet operational and guest requirements
• Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and other logistics tools
• Assist with the transportation of equipment, furniture and event materials throughout the property
• Support event bump‑ins and bump‑outs, including traffic management and coordination activities
• Ensure event spaces, storage areas and work zones are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Deliver exceptional guest service by responding professionally to requests and enquiries
• Participate in pre and post shift briefings to support smooth event operations
• Work collaboratively with events, food and beverage and hotel teams to deliver memorable guest experiences
• Adhere to workplace health and safety, RSA and company compliance requirements at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in events, hospitality, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment
• Forklift license or other material handling equipment is highly regarded
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Physically capable of undertaking manual handling and event setup duties
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain
• A strong commitment to safety and delivering exceptional guest service
