Job summary

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established early learning service in Carlton, VIC, to recruit an experienced Early Learning Manager for a fixed-term contract from 2 November 2026 to the end of February 2027. You will lead a four-room service within a school precinct, supporting a diverse workforce and ensuring high-quality care and education.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a four-room early learning service or centre-level leadership.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and staff.
• Ability to manage rostering, staffing and workforce planning.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practice and EYLF/NQF knowledge.
• Proven ability to mentor emerging leaders in a busy service.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands-on leadership across a four-room service.
• Build trust and confidence within a diverse team with clear direction.
• Oversee daily operations, rostering and workforce planning.
• Support the Assistant Manager and develop leadership capability.
• Maintain strong relationships with families, including those facing complex circumstances.
• Promote culturally responsive, inclusive practice in the local community.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, the National Quality Framework and child safety.
• Collaborate with educational leaders and neighbouring services.
• Address operational challenges calmly and proactively.
• Maintain a positive, child-focused culture where staff, children and families feel valued.
