Job summary

Tradewind Australia Pty is partnering with a well-established Melbourne early learning service to recruit an experienced Assistant Centre Manager. This permanent or fixed-term role supports daily operations and leads educators across multiple rooms.

You’ll collaborate with the Centre Manager, manage rostering, onboarding and staff development, and help deliver a safe, inclusive learning environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• Experience in an Assistant Centre Manager or senior role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and EYLF.
• Experience with rostering and day-to-day service operations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Centre Manager with the effective daily operation of the service.
• Providing leadership, guidance and support to educators across multiple rooms.
• Assisting with staff rostering, workforce planning and operational requirements.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and staff development.
• Building positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
• Stepping into the Centre Manager's responsibilities when required.
• Contributing to the Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement initiatives
