Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience planning high impact teaching strategies and using data to inform teaching growth.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring and assessing student learning with feedback to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning to continually improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the principal and school needs.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and train one or more student teachers; support data-informed teaching practices.
