Job summary

The Sporting Globe is seeking a Duty Manager in Melbourne to lead shifts, supervise staff and ensure outstanding guest experiences in a bustling venue.

Open to Full Time or Part Time, RSA required with TAB knowledge a bonus. You’ll drive service standards, assist with inventory and compliance, and help maintain a lively, top‑performing venue.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience in pubs, bars, or busy restaurants.
• RSA certification is required.
• TAB basics/advanced knowledge is a bonus but not required.
• Passion for creating epic customer experiences and buzzing venues.

Responsibilities

• Support the shift by ensuring every area of the venue runs smoothly.
• Train and motivate the team and help build a winning team culture.
• Assist with stock, reporting, compliance and operational tasks to keep the venue in top shape.
• Open the venue and ensure it is well presented and set up for a successful shift.
• Complete end-of-night till counts, TAB compliance and closing procedures.

Key Plays:

What you’ll bring:

• Hospitality experience (bonus points if it's in pubs, bars, or busy restaurants)
• RSA
• Bonus Points for TAB Basics and/or Advanced (but not necessary)
• A passion for creating epic customer experiences and building a buzzing venue
