Job summary

Sante Recruitment invites applications for a Specialist – General Medicine & Geriatric Medicine in regional Australia. The role is a 0.5 FTE General Medicine and 0.5 FTE Geriatric Medicine position within an established medical service, permanent and offering clinical variety across two complementary specialties.

The successful candidate will provide inpatient and consultative care, engage in multidisciplinary teams, teaching and quality improvement, and develop or continue a special interest in

Qualifications

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualifications.
Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia, or eligibility for specialist registration.
Appropriate experience in General Medicine.
Experience or demonstrated interest in Geriatric Medicine.
Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
Strong communication and clinical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Inpatient assessment and management across General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
Management of complex medical presentations with multidisciplinary teams.
Clinical governance, quality improvement and teaching activities.
Discharge planning and coordination with community providers.
