Job summary

NRMA is hiring a full-time Driving Instructor to join Australia's most loved driving school. You will deliver tailored lessons using the NRMA Driver Training Curriculum and contribute to NSW Safer Drivers Course delivery while developing skills toward Corporate Driver Training programs.

The role offers guaranteed hours, a 38-hour week roster, and opportunities to upskill in EV driving and driver training products within a respected national brand.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Driving Instructor Licence is required.
• Willingness to obtain TfNSW Safer Drivers Course accreditation.
• Willingness to obtain Older Driver Assessment qualifications when eligible.
• Valid NSW C class Driver's Licence.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored lessons based on NRMA Driver Training Curriculum.
• Teach independent driving and NSW Safer Drivers Course components.
• Be available for a Monday–Sunday roster between 7am–8pm; 38 hours per week.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive, safe customer experience and brand reputation.

Become a full-time, permanent (employee) NRMA Driving Instructor and make a lasting impact on road safety within your community. About the role

• Hours: Guaranteed 38 hours per week
• Availability: Must be able to do a roster Monday - Sunday, between 7am - 8pm
• Roster: Your roster is provided in advance, so you can plan. Shifts are based on customer demand, with a focus on weekend and before and after school hours.

Essential licenses:

• Valid NSW Driving Instructor Licence
• Willingness to obtain TfNSW Safer Drivers Course (min module 2) accreditation
• Willingness to obtain Older Driver Assessment qualifications when eligible (will need 3 years of driving instructor experience to be eligible for this)
• Valid NSW C class Driver\'s Licence
• Valid Working with Children\'s Check (WWCC)

• Passion and dedication to help our learner drivers of today become safe and independent drivers
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to exude empathy and patience in all interactions
• The ability to drive NRMA products and positive reviews through a need based selling approach
• Excellent communication with the ability to effectively engage with a broad spectrum of individuals spanning from differing demographics to levels of driving confidence
• Exceptional understanding and adherence to NSW road rules and regulations
• Effective diary management and a strong work ethic, able to tightly manage time and optimise schedule to service customers
• Ability to confidently adapt to various customer learning styles, needs and preferences
• A team player with a strong work ethic who is flexible and willing to adapt and grow with business demand and requirements

Desirable (or must have a willingness to obtain):

• Facilitation skills (willingness to undergo Cert IV Training and Assessment during employment)
• A willingness to be upskilled to deliver driver training products such as but not limited to the Safer Drivers Course and NRMA\'s proprietary Corporate Driver Training program
