Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd is seeking an experienced Local MC Driver for our Mareeba depot on a permanent full-time basis. Role involves driving the Tug to hook/unhook trailers, delivering refrigerated goods, and ensuring on-time, temperature-controlled deliveries within Mareeba and surrounds.

The position offers Monday to Friday work, every second Saturday with overtime, and a home-at-night schedule. Strong safety focus and customer service are essential for success in this depot role.

Qualifications

• Must have current MC licence and proven driving experience.
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful but not required.
• Safe driving record—history report required.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers.
• Reverse B-Doubles and Singles in the yard.
• Deliver refrigerated freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas.
• Ensure freight is delivered safely, on time and at the right temperature.
• Use in-cab tech to scan freight and record deliveries.
• Complete pre-starts and daily safety checks.
• Follow road laws and safety procedures.
• Work with loaders and depot teams to get the job done.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Operate in a safety-first environment.

Our Mareeba depot is looking for a Local MC Driver to join the team, offering a permanent full time position:

• Monday to Friday
• Every second Saturday with overtime available

This role is ideally suited to an experienced MC Driver that still wants to be behind the wheel but also wishes to be home each night. A key role keeping our depot moving.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current MC licence
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery experience is a bonus)
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, on time and take pride in your vehicle and your work
