Job summary

Kip Hunter Valley is seeking a Driver for Pet Transport to join our team. The role requires early starts (3am) and the ability to drive to Sydney on planned routes, with flexibility across shifts and school holidays.

Responsibilities include transporting animals, interacting with clients professionally, and managing schedules in line with company policies. Applicants must have a full Australian driver’s licence and be willing to complete a paid or unpaid trial shift in line with Fair Work

Qualifications

• Experience handling dogs and cats is highly regarded.
• Must be honest with a high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to safely drive long distances.
• Willingness to attend an unpaid trial shift under Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines.
• Hold a Full Australian drivers licence.

Driver / Pet Transport

At Kip Hunter Valley, our team is deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through it's doors. We are now looking for the pick of the litter to complement our existing team and help contribute to providing a premium service to the local pets through our pet transport service.

The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours Monday through Friday, with the ability to adapt to a variety of shifts and schedules.

Shifts commence at 3am to accommodate pet transport requirements which requires driving to and from Sydney in peak, shoulder, and off-peak traffic on planned routes. Availability to work across all school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Transport animals from client homes to facility
• Interact with customers in a professional manner
• Handle animals in line with company policies and procedures
• Follow the company's collection procedures and protocols
• Optimise the collection and drop-off schedule
• Following up queries and abandoned bookings
• Check in/check out pets
• Answering emails and phone calls

Experience / Requirements:

• Animal handling experience of dogs and cats highly regarded

• Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
