Job summary

Snowy Valleys Council is seeking a capable driver to deliver kerbside collections in Tumut and surrounding locations. You will follow schedules, resolve day-to-day issues, and maintain records with basic data collection devices while focusing on customer service and productivity.

This permanent, full-time role requires an HR licence, White Card, and willingness to work overtime including some weekend shifts, with a 9-day fortnight pattern and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Current HR driver’s licence is essential.
• Experience operating HR trucks and collecting data.
• Experience in parks/amenities works (mowing, gardening, facilities cleaning).
• Ability to follow work schedules and use collection data devices.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• White Card (Construction Induction Certificate).
• Willingness for overtime and some weekend work.
• Experience operating collection vehicles or similar equipment.
• AQF3 Chemical accreditation is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver kerbside collection services in Tumut and surrounding locations.
• Interpret and follow established collection schedules.
• Resolve day-to-day issues with supervisor as required.
• Maintain written records and use data collection devices.
• Provide high levels of customer service and produce reliable outcomes.
