Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver to join our Newcastle team on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves local pick-ups and deliveries, operating tautliner and tailgate trucks, and ensuring the highest safety standards.

You will load/unload freight as needed, secure loads with proper restraints, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain accurate delivery documentation while supporting outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

HR Truck Driver - Tautliner & Tailgate | Full Time I Newcastle

Team Global Express is looking for a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver to join our team in Newcastle.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday with start times between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, depending on operational requirements. Overtime is available when required.

You’ll be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries, operating tautliner and tailgate trucks, and providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HR tautliner and tailgate vehicles.
• Complete local deliveries and pick-ups within scheduled timeframes.
• Load and hand unload freight when required.
• Secure and restrain loads using the correct load restraint equipment.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report defects.
• Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation.
• Follow all Team Global Express safety procedures and policies.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with company procedures.
• Work closely with the operations team to deliver outstanding customer service.
