Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced MC Driver for a permanent full-time night shift at Chevallum. You will conduct depot-to-depot linehaul movements between Chevallum and Larapinta, ensuring freight safety and on-time delivery.

Key duties include pre-start checks, securing loads, trailer changes, maintaining fatigue management and compliance, and accurate transport documentation. You will work with fleet controllers and depot teams to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

  • Current MC licence is essential.
  • Experience in linehaul, changeovers, or depot-to-depot driving preferred.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of fatigue management and heavy-vehicle compliance.
  • Ability to complete transport documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled linehaul movements Chevallum–Larapinta.
  • Safely operate MC combination vehicles on metro and highway networks.
  • Manage multiple linehaul runs per shift and meet delivery timeframes.
  • Conduct pre-start, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure freight is loaded, restrained and transported per procedures.
  • Coordinate trailer changes and de-coupling as required.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and road conditions for safety.
  • Maintain fatigue management and comply with Chain of Responsibility.

About the roleTeam Global Express is currently seeking an experienced MC Driver to join our team based at our Chevallum Depot. This is a permanent full-time night shift opportunity, with a standard start time of 4:00pm.In this role, you will be responsible for completing scheduled depot-to-depot linehaul movements between Chevallum and Larapinta, ensuring freight is transported safely, efficiently, and within designated timeframes. The role typically involves completing two return trips per shift, with a third run required at times depending on operational requirements.Key responsibilities include:Completing scheduled linehaul movements between Chevallum and Larapinta in accordance with operational schedulesSafely operating MC combination vehicles across metropolitan and highway networksManaging multiple linehaul runs per shift while maintaining service and delivery timeframesConducting comprehensive pre-start, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspectionsEnsuring freight is loaded, restrained, and transported in accordance with company procedures and load restraint requirementsSafely coupling and uncoupling trailers and performing trailer changeovers where requiredMonitoring vehicle performance and road conditions to ensure safe and efficient transitMaintaining compliance with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, and heavy vehicle legislationCommunicating effectively with fleet controllers, operations teams, and depot personnel regarding schedules and operational updatesCompleting transport documentation, manifests, and compliance records accuratelyReporting hazards, incidents, near misses, and vehicle defects in a timely mannerFollowing all company policies, procedures, and safe work practicesWhat you'll bringA current and valid MC LicencePrevious linehaul, changeover, or depot-to-depot driving experience highly regardedStrong knowledge of fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, and heavy vehicle compliance requirementsExcellent time management skills and the ability to work independentlyA commitment to delivering freight safely and efficientlyThe ability to accurately complete transport and compliance documentationFull working rights in AustraliaA high level of commitment to safety and safe work practicesA professional and reliable approach to workAbout Team Global ExpressTeam Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
