Job summary

Thales Group in Bendigo is seeking a Driveline Engineer - Hardware to strengthen our growing engineering team. This 12 months Fixed-Term Contract role focuses on driveline systems for tactical and military vehicles, delivering reliable, customer-focused solutions that meet MIL-STD and DEF STAN standards.

Based at our Bendigo site on Dja Dja Wurrung land, you will design, prototype, validate and optimise driveline components, using Creo Parametric and PLM tools, with teamwork and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Eligible for NER and CPEng with Engineers Australia.
• Experience in design/manufacturing with OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
• Ability to analyse test data and prepare technical reports.
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis, DFMEA, 3D CAD and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs and solutions that meet customer requirements and regulations.
• Conduct prototyping, trials and demonstrations.
• Create, interpret, and optimise precision 3D CAD models (structural, mechanical, electrical) using Creo Parametric.
• Design, develop, and validate components and systems for medium and heavy vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques, working independently or as part of a team under broad professional guidance.
• Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures.
