Job summary

DDH1 Drilling is offering an entry level Traineeship for a Driller's Offsider with paid training and certificate issuance. You’ll gain Certificate II in Drilling Operations and start a career in mining services.

FIFO from Perth, 12-hour shifts, and a mix of client site and exploration projects provide practical exposure and long-term progression. We cover certificate costs and future certs, with a strong emphasis on safety, fitness, and teamwork in remote, outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HR licence or be willing to obtain before starting.
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical plus drug & alcohol screen.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (HLTAID009 & HLTAID011).
• FIFO from major Australian capitals; induction in Perth, WA.
• Physically fit with manual labouring experience for 12-hour shifts.
• Safety-focused, reliable and a strong team player.
• Australian/New Zealand resident to comply with government traineeship.

Responsibilities

• Mobilise the rig when moving from one setup to another.
• Handle core: remove from tube, place in boxes and label.
• Handle drilling rods and core tubes.
• Mix drill fluid additives as required.
• Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
