Glencore's Rolleston Open Cut in Central Queensland seeks an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer to join the Technical Services team. Reporting to the Short-Term Planning Superintendent, you will design drill patterns, loading designs and blast tie-ins to optimise production.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in a Drill and Blast Engineering or similar mining engineering role.
• Proficiency in Vulcan and BlastLogic software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Developing drill patterns, loading designs and blast tie-in designs.
• Design and optimise blasts while ensuring compliance with site standards and SHMS.
• Liaise with Survey and Operations to uphold drill preparation standards and approvals.
• Work with Planning Engineers to optimise mine plans and deliver short, medium and long-term outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and blast optimisation trials.
• Coach and mentor Mining Engineers to build technical capability.
