Job summary

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a Manager Reconstruction Claims and Payments to oversee the DRFA funding for infrastructure reconstruction, ensuring timely and compliant delivery. You will lead governance, financial management and assurance while coordinating reporting for DRFA and related programs.

You will review claims from delivery agencies and local councils, support audits, and work with stakeholders to clarify funding guidelines and strengthen systems and processes through

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing funding allocations and financial systems in complex environments.
• Familiarity with bilateral funding arrangements, particularly DRFA.
• Proven ability to lead governance, assurance, and reporting functions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience designing and implementing financial processes and systems.
• Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance and CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) for infrastructure reconstruction.
• Lead governance, financial management and assurance processes, while managing reporting systems for DRFA and non-DRFA programs.
• Review and process claims from delivery agencies and local councils, supporting audit and assurance activities.
• Maintain robust claims and payment systems and work with stakeholders to promote funding guidelines and lead strategic initiatives.
