Job summary

Newman Senior High School is seeking a passionate Drama teacher to build on its momentum in Drama and strengthen the senior secondary pathway. You will teach Drama and another learning area, engaging regional students with dynamic performances and community opportunities.

You will bring energy, high expectations and strong relationships, contributing beyond the classroom to enrich Performing Arts in a regional setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach secondary Drama and sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum.
• Eligibility to teach at secondary level and registered with the teaching board.
• Willingness to undertake WA Working with Children Check and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Initially teach Drama alongside a second learning area with a view to expanding Drama as student participation grows.
• Contribute to developing a strong senior secondary pathway in Performing Arts.
• Build energy, high expectations and meaningful performance opportunities within the school and wider community.
