Job summary

SMEC is seeking an Engineer – Drainage & Flooding, Roads & Highways to join our Sydney team on a permanent basis. You will contribute to major infrastructure projects, focusing on drainage design and flood modelling, with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

You will have 2+ years of relevant experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and familiarity with Austroads guidelines and common software tools. This role offers growth within a global consultancy and NSW/national project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil.
• 2+ years drainage, flooding, hydrology, or water-related infra experience.
• Exposure to infrastructure projects (roads/highways/rail/urban development).
• Familiarity with Austroads Part 5, 5A & 5B and Australian Rainfall and Runoff guidelines 2019.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage design and flood modelling outputs for infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to meet client and industry standards.
• Support project delivery across NSW and national scope.
