Job summary

Northeast Auto Group in Adelaide is seeking a Drafting Lead to guide our drafting team in producing technical plans and CAD drawings for heavy truck body installations and assemblies, supporting daily production.

Reporting to Operations and Manufacturing Systems Manager, you will collaborate with engineers, ensure accuracy, and develop your drafting skills within a family‑owned, award‑winning automotive group that values quality and career growth.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (desired).
• In depth technical drawing knowledge.
• Experience using CAD Software.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience leading a team (desired).

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact between the drafting team and workshop staff.
• Collaborate with engineers.
• Create and modify CAD drawings.
• Ensure drafts are prepared with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
