Archdiocesan Services supports this mission by providing parishes and agencies with expert advice and services in WHS, finance, technology, property, HR, communications, compliance, legal, and more.

About the Role

The Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a friendly, organised and detail-focused Donor Services Assistant to join the Communications and Engagement team on a permanent part-time basis.

The Donor Services Assistant will be one of the first points of contact for donors, responding to enquiries by phone and email and ensuring each interaction is welcoming, professional and timely.

The role also provides important administrative support through processing donations, maintaining accurate donor records, preparing receipts and acknowledgements, and supporting the broader fundraising team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail and is confident working with databases and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to donor enquiries in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
  • Accurately process and record donations, gifts and donor information within the Raiser's Edge (RENXT) database.
  • Process donation receipts, banking and reconciliations across different forms of giving, including credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgement correspondence within required timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and undertake regular data-quality and duplicate-record checks.
  • Assist with maintaining parish, agency and school information within the database.
  • Provide administrative and ad-hoc data support to the fundraising team.
  • Assist the Events Coordinator and Relationship Managers with event information, attendee records and event preparation where required.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team and provide general administrative support as needed.
About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people and takes pride in providing accurate and professional administrative support.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in administration, donor services, customer service or a similar support role.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • A warm, friendly and professional approach when communicating with donors and other stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems and processes.
  • Experience using Raiser's Edge or a comparable CRM/database system involving customer, donor or constituent records.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and complete work within required timeframes.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling personal and donor information.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a supportive team environment.
  • A current Blue Card and National Criminal History Check, or the ability to obtain both.

If you are an organised and approachable administrator who enjoys working with people and would like to contribute to the work of the Archdiocese of Brisbane, we would love to hear from you.
