Job summary

Paspaley Pearling Company is hiring a FIFO Domestic/Cleaner in Darwin for a casual role, responsible for cleanliness of cabins, public areas and workspaces on the Pearl Farm. The role includes handling crew laundry and assisting kitchen tasks when required.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, detail-oriented and able to work autonomously, with relevant cleaning and domestic experience. Police clearance, pre-employment medical and full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, laundry and broader domestic duties (highly desirable).
• National police clearance within 6 months or be willing to obtain.
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of cabins, public areas and workspaces throughout the Pearl Farm.
• Handle crew laundry.
• Assist the Chef to maintain the kitchen if required.

Our pearling operation is extensive and spans coastal regions from Exmouth, WA around to the north of Darwin, NT. Our pearl farms are positioned amongst some of the world's most spectacular coastline and unique marine environments.

Job Description

We are seeking a FIFO Domestic/Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort of cabins, public areas, and workspaces throughout our land-based Pearl Farm. This crucial role includes being responsible for the handling of crew laundry and assisting the Chef to maintain the kitchen if required. To be suitable for this opportunity, you must reside in Darwin, be available for an immediate start and committed to an ongoing 2:1 roster.

The Ideal Candidate

• Physically fit, detail-oriented and ability to work autonomously.
• Must be of neat and tidy appearance and display a dedicated and enthusiastic work ethic

What You Need To Succeed

• Experience and consistent working history in cleaning, laundry and broader domestic duties (highly desirable)
