Job summary

Paspaley Pearling Company are seeking a Domestic/Cleaner to join our Pearl Farm operations in a casual role. The duties include cleaning cabins, public areas and workspaces on our land-based Pearl Farm, handling crew laundry and assisting the Chef with kitchen tasks if required.

You must reside in Darwin and be available for an immediate start on a 2:1 roster. The ideal candidate is physically fit, neat in appearance, and able to work autonomously.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, laundry and broader domestic duties is highly desirable.
• Must reside in Darwin and be available for immediate start.
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test; police clearance within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Clean cabins, public areas and workspaces to ensure hygiene.
• Handle crew laundry and assist the Chef to maintain the kitchen if required.
• Adhere to rosters and safety guidelines on a 2:1 roster.

Our pearling operation is extensive and spans coastal regions from Exmouth, WA around to the north of Darwin, NT. Our pearl farms are positioned amongst some of the world's most spectacular coastline and unique marine environments.

Job Description

We are seeking a FIFO Domestic/Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort of cabins, public areas, and workspaces throughout our land-based Pearl Farm. This crucial role includes being responsible for the handling of crew laundry and assisting the Chef to maintain the kitchen if required. To be suitable for this opportunity, you must reside in Darwin, be available for an immediate start and committed to an ongoing 2:1 roster.

The ideal candidate:

• Physically fit, detail-oriented and ability to work autonomously.
• Must be of neat and tidy appearance and display a dedicated and enthusiastic work ethic

What you need to succeed:

• Experience and consistent working history in cleaning, laundry and broader domestic duties (highly desirable)
• National police clearance within 6 months or be willing to obtain
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
• Full working rights in Australia
