My dog walker is seeking a reliable Dog Handler to join our small team in NSW. You will drive between pickups, supervise walks, and ensure each dog's care instructions are followed.

You’ll manage up to four dogs solo, with potential double-dog walks with another handler. Applicants should have a valid NSW driver’s licence, be located in the Eastern Suburbs or nearby, and be available for 7:00 am or 7:30 am starts on some days.

We’re looking for a reliable Dog Handler with practical animal-care experience to join our small team. Our clients trust us with dogs who are part of their families, so we’re looking for someone who takes that responsibility seriously and wants to build lasting relationships with the dogs, clients and team.

About the role

You'll drive between pick-ups and drop-offs, supervise group walks, monitor the dogs' behaviour and interactions, and follow each dog's individual care instructions. You'll need to manage groups of four dogs on your own. On some walks, you'll work alongside another handler with up to eight dogs in the group altogether. Training in our dogs, routes and procedures will be provided before you work independently.

• Manage groups of four dogs independently
• Work alongside another handler with up to eight dogs in group walks

About you

• A current driver's licence valid in NSW and confidence driving with dogs
• Live in the Eastern Suburbs or very nearby
• Availability to start first pick-ups at 7:00 am on some days and 7:30 am on others, depending on the schedule
• Practical experience handling dogs safely
• Professional group dog-walking experience is highly valued, but experience in dog daycare, pet sitting or other animal-care settings is also welcome
• Excellent punctuality, reliability, organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently
• A genuine intention to stay for at least a year

Part-time employment at $30–$35 per hour plus super, depending on relevant experience

A guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends

A likely increase towards 30 hours per week very soon

Potential to move into a full-time role in 2027

Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right person, subject to business needs and eligibility requirements

Training in dogs, routes and procedures provided before working independently
