Job summary

Mary MacKillop Catholic College Wakeley, part of Sydney Catholic Schools, invites applications for a Diverse Learning Teacher. You will deliver student-centered instruction, design individual learning plans with adjustments, and support students across Years 7–12 within a Catholic learning environment.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in diverse learning needs, differentiation, and strong classroom management. Religious Education qualifications or willingness to obtain them are desired.

Qualifications

• Diverse Learning Needs expertise and additional teaching areas preferred.
• Able to develop individual learning plans with adjustments and life-skill components.
• Experience in programming and assessment design, reporting and feedback.
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction for Years 7–12.
• Strong classroom management and student wellbeing focus.
• Religious Education qualifications or willingness to obtain them.

About You

As a Diverse Learning Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

• expertise in Diverse Learning Needs, with additional teaching areas advantageous
• engaging, rigorous, planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
• the ability and experience in developing individual learning plans that include learning adjustments, post-school support, enrolment in discrete or life skill courses, special provisions and work placement
• experience with programming and assessment design, reporting and feedback
• exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies
• proven ability to differentiate instruction, cater for the diverse needs of learners and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12
• formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
• a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
• support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
• excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
• strong classroom management and student well-being focus
• ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditations
• econdary education experience and qualifications in Diverse Learning Support
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
