Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a Diverse Learning Leader for St Pius X Primary School in Salisbury. You will provide strategic leadership to support inclusive education, student wellbeing and achievement through MTSS.

The role leads implementation of inclusive practices, develops systems and data processes, analyzes student outcomes, and coaches staff. Collaboration with families and compliance with BCE policies are essential.

St Pius X Primary School is situated in Salisbury, an inner southern suburb of Brisbane. We are a co-educational school with an approximate enrolment of approximately 170 students. Summary

Are you passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to lead and strengthen inclusive education practices within our primary school community, could also be within a P-12 setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is committed to equity, student wellbeing, and high-quality teaching and learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.

• Work hours: 30.00 hours per week
• Salary: $86,601.00 - $124,725.00 + super + DLL Allowance (DLL allowance will be based on school enrollments and proficiency experience)

This is a permanent teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Diverse Learning Leader position including DLL Allowance, for a 3yrs period (January 2027 - December 2029). One subsequent three-year appointment with the DLL Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

About the opportunity

As the Diverse Learning Leader, you will provide strategic leadership to support student engagement, learning, wellbeing, and achievement through the principles of inclusive education and a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. You will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, students, and families to foster a culture where every learner is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

In this position you will:

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of inclusive education practices across the school.
• Develop and evaluate systems, data processes, and supports that enhance outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
• Analyse student performance and wellbeing data to identify priorities and inform targeted interventions.
• Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and professional learning to build staff capability in inclusive education.
• Lead collaboration within school support teams to ensure equitable and effective student support.
• Foster positive partnerships with families, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with BCE policies and legislative obligations, including the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education (DSE).

Mandatory Requirements

• Full registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Minimum five years' teaching experience with inclusive education practice.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence (if required).

Highly Regarded

• Postgraduate qualifications in Inclusive Education or a related discipline.
• Experience leading whole-school initiatives in diverse learning and inclusion
