Job summary

St Joseph's Tobruk Memorial School Beenleigh is seeking a Diverse Learning Leader to advance inclusive education, student wellbeing and high-quality teaching across the school, guiding MTSS-based supports for diverse learners.

The appointment is permanent, full-time, with an initial three-year Diverse Learning Leader role and DLL allowance; continuation depends on performance and ongoing need. You will collaborate with leaders, teachers and families to ensure equity and excellence.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) is mandatory.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience with inclusive education practice.
• Demonstrated leadership in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of inclusive education practices across the school.
• Develop and evaluate data processes and supports for diverse learners.
• Analyse student performance and wellbeing data to inform priorities and interventions.

• Work hours: 30.00 hours per week
• Salary: $86,601.00 - $124,725.00 + 12.75% Super + DLL Allowance (DLL allowance will be based on school enrollments and proficiency experience)

This is a permanent teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Diverse Learning Leader position including DLL Allowance, for a 3yrs period (January 2027 - December 2029). One subsequent three-year appointment with the DLL Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

About the opportunity

As the Diverse Learning Leader, you will provide strategic leadership to support student engagement, learning, wellbeing, and achievement through the principles of inclusive education and a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. You will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, students, and families to foster a culture where every learner is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

In this position you will:

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of inclusive education practices across the school.
• Develop and evaluate systems, data processes, and supports that enhance outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
• Analyse student performance and wellbeing data to identify priorities and inform targeted interventions.
• Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and professional learning to build staff capability in inclusive education.
• Lead collaboration within school support teams to ensure equitable and effective student support.
• Foster positive partnerships with families, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with BCE policies and legislative obligations, including the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education (DSE).

Mandatory Requirements

• Full registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
