Great Adventures Reef & Green Island tours in Cairns, Australia, is seeking a PADI-certified Dive Instructor fluent in Japanese to deliver safe, memorable diving experiences for our growing Japanese clientele. Based in Cairns, you will lead dives, conduct briefings, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding safety standards.

The role requires fluency in Japanese and English, current First Aid/CPR/Oxygen qualifications, Dive Medical and Insurance, and relevant commercial diving

Qualifications

• Fluent in Japanese and English, with strong guest communication.
• Current First Aid, CPR and oxygen provider qualifications.
• Current Dive Medical and Dive Insurance.
• Relevant commercial diving experience, preferably within a tourism operation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Professional and positive approach to guest service.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in changing operational conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead scuba dives in accordance with PADI international safety standards.
• Conduct briefings, dive planning, and in-water tours and informative reef presentations.
• Provide excellent customer service and safety-focused guidance.
• Assist with gear preparation, equipment maintenance, and daily dive operations.
• Promote marine conservation and responsible tourism practices.

Are you passionate about diving and love sharing the underwater world with others? We’re looking for a PADIcertified Dive Instructor fluent in Japanese to join our team and provide unforgettable diving experiences to our growing Japanese clientele.

About the role

Based in Cairns, Great Adventures is part of the multi-awarded Quicksilver Group andoperatesa wide range of ecotourism-based cruises to the Great Barrier Reef including Great Adventures Reef and Green Island Cruises, Silverswift Dive and Snorkel Adventures, and Ocean Spirit.

As a Dive Instructor, you will play an important role in delivering safe, professional and memorable diving experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead scuba dives in accordance with PADI international safety standards
