Job summary

MLHD seeks a District Chief Pharmacist to oversee governance of pharmacy services across the district, driving strategic advancement, implementation, and cost-efficient delivery. Some clinical pharmacy duties may be involved and encouraged.

You will lead recruitment, resource planning, and policy advice to executive leadership, ensuring high-quality district-wide pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy with current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Postgraduate management qualifications or demonstrable management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; sound leadership and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, provision and coordination of resources; monitor service levels; evaluate pharmaceutical services.
• Strategically plan recruitment to enable cost-efficient clinical pharmacy provision.
• Provide leadership to all sites to ensure proper delivery of pharmacy services.
• Offer policy and service advice to Senior Executive and Hospital GMs as required.
