Job summary

Diageo is seeking an operational leader to head the Bundaberg Distillation team, producing the new-make rum and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient distillery operations. You will guide production across site functions, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement.

Experience in rum is not essential; we offer training and development in fermentation, distillation, and spirits production to grow your expertise. This is a hands-on role at Bundaberg.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading people in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Experience in process-driven operations with focus on safety, quality, reliability and discipline.
• Strong manufacturing safety practices and controlled production processes.
• Ability to solve operational problems and adapt to changing plans.
• Proven use of data to understand performance and drive decisions.
• Interest in developing people and building a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the distillery process with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Develop and coach the distillery team to improve capability and culture.
• Coordinate production activities to meet volume and quality targets.
• Ensure fermentation, distillation and liquid-handling meet standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Use process data to identify improvements and inform decisions.
• Develop understanding of fermentation, distillation, and rum production.
