Job summary

Day One Recruitment is seeking a Litigation Associate for a Brisbane-based role with a focus on construction and build-out disputes. This position offers hybrid or largely remote work depending on you, with strong mentoring from a senior partner.

You will handle varied disputes, drafting, research, and strategic case management while embracing new legal tech to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners and clients to deliver high-quality dispute resolutions.

The firm offers genuine flexibility: depending on the candidate, the role can be hybrid or mostly remote. The opportunity

Join a small, collaborative team as a Litigation Associate, working on a varied disputes practice with a particular focus on construction law and building disputes. You’ll also run matters across commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring litigation, and debt recovery and enforcement.

The leading partner has a strong track record of mentoring and developing lawyers, and the firm plans to grow over the next couple of years. You’ll get close guidance, real responsibility and a clear path to progress.

About you

An Associate-level lawyer is ideal. However, the firm is happy to speak with lawyers from 12 months to 5 years PAE who are looking for their next step. You will bring:

• Experience in litigation, ideally with some exposure to construction or commercial disputes
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills
• A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage matters with appropriate autonomy
• An interest in legal technology and efficient ways of working
• Admission to practice in Queensland
