Job summary

Zenn Ability is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team across Penrith and Western Sydney for In-Home, Community Access and SIL services. Casual positions available across a range of shifts.

We value compassionate, reliable carers who can help participants improve independence, dignity and daily living. Training and ongoing support are provided in a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months disability support experience preferred for SIL and independent roles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt across environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Assist with domestic tasks and mobility.
• Support community access and social participation.
• Help participants attend appointments and activities.
• Support SIL participants in home routines and 24/7 roster.
• Encourage independence and skills development.

Zenn Ability is growing our team across Penrith and Western Sydney, and we're looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join us across In-Home, Community Access and Supported Independent Living (SIL) services.

Whether you're an experienced Support Worker or looking to build your career in disability, we have a range of opportunities available.

What opportunities are available?

In-Home & Community Support

• Personal care and daily living support
• Domestic assistance
• Community access and social support
• Supporting participants to attend appointments and activities
• Encouraging independence and skill development

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

• Supporting participants within their home environment
• Assistance with daily routines and household tasks
• Personal care and daily living support
• Community participation and outings
• Building independence and confidence
• Providing consistent, person-centred support across a 24/7 roster

Availability we're looking for

We have opportunities across a range of shifts, including:

• 6:00am – 8:00pm
• 7:00am – 12:00pm
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Overnight/Sleepover shifts, approximately 6:00pm – 8:15am
• 24/7 availability for SIL
• Weekday and weekend availability

Candidates with greater availability will have access to more opportunities and ongoing shifts.

Experience

We're looking for a mix of experienced and emerging Support Workers.

For some positions, 6+ months of disability support experience is preferred, particularly for SIL and more independent support environments. Other positions may be suitable for candidates who are newer to the industry and have the right attitude, values and willingness to learn.
