Job summary

Disability Connect Victoria in Sale is seeking compassionate casual Disability Support Workers to provide person-centered support so participants can live safely, independently and actively within their community.

You will perform personal care, daily living support, transport to appointments and documentation of progress, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers. Training and ongoing development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or a relevant higher qualification.
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Access to a registered and insured vehicle.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Disability Connect Victoria is seeking compassionate and reliable casual Disability Support Workers to join our team in Sale

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to help participants live safely, independently and actively within their community.

• Personal care and daily living support
• Community access and social activities
• Meal preparation and household tasks
• Medication assistance
• Transport to appointments and activities
• Supporting participants with behaviours of concern
• Following individual support plans and NDIS goals
• Completing accurate progress notes and documentation

Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or a relevant higher qualification
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current employee Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Access to a registered and insured vehicle
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with personal care, manual handling, medication assistance and behaviours of concern will be highly regarded.
