Endeavour Foundation in Rockhampton is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to assist residents in our SIL homes. You will help people live as independently as possible, supporting daily living, personal care, skills development and community participation in a calm, respectful environment.
This permanent roster offers varied shifts including days, afternoons, evenings and sleepovers, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts when available.
We have permanent roster lines available across our SIL homes in Rockhampton, offering 20-50-hour fortnightly contracts with a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports (minimum 2 per FN). These roster lines are part of a permanent schedule with opportunities to pick up additional shifts where available.
Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) home in Rockhampton, you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action!
Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations, and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role.
