Job summary

New Age Support Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide personalised 1:1 community and in-home support for participants with complex needs in Ballarat. The role focuses on mental health, AOD-related needs and behaviours of concern.

You will apply positive behaviour support, help with independence and daily living, and maintain clear progress notes and risk assessments. A calm, respectful and professional approach is essential.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• Working with Children Check where required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in disability, mental health, community services or AOD support.

Responsibilities

As a Disability Support Worker with NASS, you will provide individualised support based on each participant's goals, needs and preferences. This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, able to build genuine rapport, understands professional boundaries and can provide consistent support to participants who may have complex support needs.

Key responsibilities
