Job summary

People Care Services Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker in Hervey Bay, QLD. This casual/part-time/full-time role requires flexibility to cover 24/7 shift patterns across weekdays, weekends, and evenings.

You will empower individuals with disabilities to live independently by providing tailored support, personal care, and social engagement. Applicants should have a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, a valid driver's licence, and current checks including

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build trust with clients.
• Caring, patient and empathetic approach tailored to each individual.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check current at time of application.
• First Aid and CPR certification current at time of application.
• National Police Check current (no older than 6 months).
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to individuals with disabilities to assist daily activities.
• Assist with personal care such as grooming, dressing and meal prep.
• Facilitate community engagement and recreational activities to promote inclusion.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of care and progress.
• Collaborate with care team to implement individualized support plans.
• Advocate for rights and needs of clients.
