Job summary

Hogan Care in Victoria is seeking dedicated, compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide person-centered care to clients in Hamlyn Heights. You will support daily living, promote independence, and work with a respectful, inclusive team.

The role involves following care plans, maintaining accurate notes, responding to emergencies, and assisting with personal care, mobility, and community activities. Current First Aid/ CPR and a valid license are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Caring and empathetic; genuine desire to make a difference.

• Experience as a support worker preferred but not essential.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in achieving personal goals and independence.
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes.
• Follow care plans and report changes.
• Respond to emergencies or urgent situations.
• Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support daily living tasks (meals, cleaning, laundry).
• Assist with mobility, transfers and use of equipment.
• Provide companionship and facilitate community participation.
