Job summary

People Solutions is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker to assist a client with an ABI who is non-verbal in the Seymour VIC area. The role involves 6–12 hours per week both at home and in the community, with a focus on quality, compassionate care and teamwork.

Applicants must have 2+ years of disability support experience, relevant qualifications, and a current driving licence with access to a reliable car. Screening checks, vaccinations, and compliance documentation are required.

Disability Support Worker (Casual) - Seymour VIC Area

My People Solutions Recruitment are currently seeking to engage a Casual Disability Support Worker (Standard Level) to work with a client who has an ABI and is non-verbal. We are only seeking applicants who have relevant qualifications and at least 2+ years of disability support worker experience, experience of working with people with an ABI and who are non-verbal, enjoy working as a team and who are committed to delivering quality care.

The client loves his two dogs and enjoys being out in the bush and 4x4 driving whenever possible. The role requires between six, and twelve hours support each week in home and in the community, making a current driving licence and car essential.

Important:

Applicants will only be considered who have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working as a disability support worker with clients with an ABI and who are non-verbal and who have ALL their documents current and up to date.

At least 2+ years' experience of working as a disability support worker working with people with an ABI / Non-Verbal

Applicants who share similar interests as the client and are willing to be flexible on days & times will be highly regarded

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car are essential.

Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and / or Mental Health Care Qualification, equivalent or higher are preferred.

Full driving licence, access to a reliable car & comprehensive car insurance with the ability to transport the client as needed.

Ability to communicate, problem solve and use life experience along with integrity, honesty & reliability are critical attributes for this role, as is a good sense of humour.

You will be required to undertake online knowledge & skills development ongoing as part of your role as well as being able to evidence you maintain current levels of knowledge and skills.

NOTE: All Support Worker roles include some level of personal care and assistance as a standard part of the disability support worker's role.
