A leading social purpose organisation is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support for individuals with disabilities in Blue Mountains areas. The role involves assisting with daily personal care and facilitating meaningful activities, with a requirement for flexibility in work hours. Candidates should have experience working with high behaviours and possess a valid driver’s license and First Aid certification. This position offers a casual hourly rate starting from $43.22.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
The people you will be supporting require a range of support and so, successful candidates should be experienced and confident in working within a varied environment which may include mental health challenges, complex needs and high behaviours.
The successful candidates must be able to commit a variety of casual shifts with availability for short notice shifts, sleepovers and shifts in Blue Mountains Areas including Hazelbrook, Wentworth Falls and Springwood.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
