Job summary

Scope in Bendigo is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our Supported Independent Living team. You will support customers living with physical disabilities, promoting independence and person-centered care in home and community settings.

You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, medication support, and behavioural support. Flexibility for various shifts, including sleepovers, is expected.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working with Children Check.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Full VIC Driver’s licence.
• International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one year in the last ten years.

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse range of customers living with physical disabilities.
• Provide person-centred support that empowers customers to make choices and maintain independence.
• Assist customers with daily living activities at home and in the community, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support and behaviour support.
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepover shifts.
