Job summary

Scope (Aust) Bendigo is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our Supported Independent Living team. Based in Bendigo, VIC, you will support customers with physical disabilities to achieve goals, build independence and live fulfilling lives in the community.

You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living tasks, medication support and participate in team planning. A willingness to work varied shifts, including sleepovers, and a current VIC driver's licence are

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required or willingness to obtain.
• Working with Children Check is required.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Full VIC Driver’s licence is required.
• International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Support customers living with physical disabilities.
• Provide person-centred support to empower independence.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meals, medication support.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Be flexible for shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

Position Details

• Position: Disability Support Worker
• Employment Type: Fixed Term Part-Time (6 Months)
• Location: Bendigo, VIC
• Hours: Approximately 40 to 60 hours per fortnight

About the Role

• Support a diverse range of customers living with physical disabilities.
• Provide person-centred support that empowers customers to make choices and maintain independence in their daily lives.
• Assist customers with daily living activities both at home and in the community, including personal care, meal preparation and assistance, medication support, and behaviour support.
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts.

You must have or be willing to obtain:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid and CPR
• Full VIC Driver’s licence
• International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one (1) year within the last ten years
