  • This is an immediate start position
As a Disability Support Worker
  • Provide tailored support that meets individual needs in the least restrictive way possible.
  • Mentor clients and assist them in developing daily living and social skills.
  • Be a positive role model, offering support in areas such as emotional wellbeing, transport, cooking, and domestic tasks.
  • Administer medication and follow client-specific support plans.
  • Complete clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports.
  • Manage complex and challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
  • Implement problem-solving strategies and social support techniques.
  • Encourage client participation in local community and cultural activities.
  • Think creatively and adaptively to client needs.

Essential Requirements

  • Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Willingness to work casual and call-in shifts
  • Basic computer literacy (training provided)
  • Casual but rostered with flexibility
